Food Post + Update (1)
Long time no see! Am too lazy to blog about events that happened after the previous blog post (which was so long ago, plus I already forgot where I put all my pictures..sob), so I will make very very short summary of all (based on the remaining pictures that I still keep.) Basically this is a food post, but it is going to be looooongggg so bear with me.
>>Penang trip with friends (23rd - 24th December 2015)<<
Kay, I know this was like soooo long ago (I already forgotten the name of the cafes and all..damn), but just let me post so that I can get over with the Penang blogpost LOL~

Green tea latte. My must-order drink whenever I visit a cafe

Rum & raisin crepe cake. I would say this crepe was nice before I tasted Nadeje's crepe. XD Would be perfect if the aroma of the rum was a little stronger
One of my friend from the gang could not join us in the Penang trip, but was happy to say that she joined our Christmas celebration in another friend's house. We decided to make home-cooked food for dinner. Those who know me will know that I can't cook, but I helped in the preparation!! And was learning some skills and recipes from watching :D

Home-made cream of pumpkin soup and whole roasted chicken with baked vegetables behind. We had fun make some art on the soup haha!

Clearer view of the roasted chicken. The preparation took time but it was pretty easy~ A simple chocolate cake by my friend who is a baker :)
Everything tasted delicious!! The happiest was that we got to spend some time having fun in cooking and talking and gossiping hahahaha~
>>Kuala Lumpur trip with friends (15th - 18th May 2016)<<
Here comes the more recent photos teehee~ May 2016 was my final semester in UTAR and my last paper was on 11th May. And I participated in Biomedical Science symposium in UPM from 14th - 15th May. Even worse, my girls already planned and booked everything for our KL trip, so I had a super rush schedule after my finals. Nevertheless, we still had fun together.
The two-day stay in KL for the symposium was quite disastrous memorable:
- We (everyone including the bus driver) were lost when we were heading to the hotel from UPM.
- It was raining like mad that time, and we were worried we wouldn't even find the hotel at the end of the day.
- When we finally found the hotel, we realized that the bus was too big to enter that road. So we had to go there by foot, and it was downpour.
- The fastest way to get to the hotel by foot was to cross a "bridge" made up by two big pipes across a huge drain with water flowing like mad down there.
- The pipes were wet due to heavy rain. (I was not worry that I will fall into the drain, but I was worried that my luggage might!)
- We were drenched thoroughly when we reached the hotel.
- There was a baby cockroach when we opened our hotel room door.
- There was another baby cockroach in the bathroom.
- We had our dinner at almost 10pm (not good!!)
- There were two adult cockroaches in our room, which we only found in the next morning.
- We had too much chicken rice during symposium (every meal served was chicken rice, just different way of cooking it.)
- The chicken rice and snacks given were...............
Okay, at the end of the symposium we were glad that we can start our KL trip Yay! And my dear friend who did not join the Penang trip DID NOT join our KL trip either TwT Can't blame her, she had to go to Singapore with her family. Here comes the food post of KL trip~!

BarBQ Plaza @TimeSquare. First time trying this restaurant and I love it!!
![]() |
Meat on the grill~ Love the sweet taste of the cabbages after being cooked in the broth
After the dinner in BarBQ Plaze we checked in to the hotel and we were happy to say that we could have a good sleep that night. (Refer to point 7, 8 and 10 for why we couldn't sleep well in the previous hotel).
Since I seldom travel to KL, you probably noticed I used the word "first time" frequently. I tried ice-skating for the first time in Sunway Pyramid as well. Sad to say it was not a good experience for me. I fell down once and tried so hard to get up TwT. In the end I still couldn't skate by my own *sob*. Even worse, I hurt my ankle and till now my ankle aches very very easily whenever I walked too long. Even even worse, I screamed so much when I skated and I ended up with a serious sore throat which caused me to be too sick to enjoy the rest of my trip *cryyyyy*.

First time trying LaJuiceria. This was the said-to-be anti-inflammatory juice (it was quite sour. But I forgot what was the blend). Bought it to soothe my severe sore throat.
This was before the ice-skating and thus before my sore throat. We decided to try the ala-carte buffet (RM65 - weekdays, not inclusive of GST) in Sozo Japanese restaurant in Sunway Giza. Overall it tasted average, but since it was ala-carte buffet means we can order as much as we like and only pay once. Before we entered the restaurant we went for a walk to have a look around Sunway Giza (first time visiting there), and I realized there were quite many Japanese restaurants in this place. Tao Japanese restaurant can be found in the upper floor and they have ala-carte buffet as well. Would like to try that someday :)

Sashimi (4 types of fish with ikura). This plate already cost around RM60. Salmon and white tuna was nice, hamachi was just average
![]() |
Ikura chawanmushi. The egg was too watery :(
That was just two pictures that I can find. We actually order a lot other food including gyoza, zaru soba, soft-shell crab, unagi roll blablablabla~ Again, those who know me will know how much I can eat in a buffet hehehehehehe~
First time (again) visiting Ikea in Cheras. Thoughts after the visit: Wish I can have beautiful and cute furniture from Ikea for the my future house :) Was told that their meatballs are very popular so my friends ordered both the chicken meatballs and beef meatballs. Too bad that I was already having sore throat that time (which caused me to lose my appetite too) so I only ordered mushroom soup for lunch. I heard from my cousin sis that their curry puffs are very nice too! Hope I get to visit Ikea again to try it!

>>Dinner with supervisors @Sushi Zento Ipoh<<
This was suppose to be an appreciation dinner with both our FYP supervisors. But so embarrassed to say our supervisors paid for the dinner in the end (though they said this was a reward to our hard work but we still feel very paiseh TwT).
PS: Zento is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant. Recommending their salmon skin salad.

Ahem, I decided to have food post part 1 and part 2 cuz I still have many food pics to post. Next blog will be about KL trip that I went with my family!! If you noticed I did mention that I just had my final semester in May, so I am officially jobless!! Hope I can find a job soon :(
