Visit to the Land of Lion-Singapore (OCT 2018/2019)

 Hey reader,

I'm back with another travel blog to the neighbouring country Singapore! Speaking of Singapore, despite it being to close to Malaysia, I have only been there thrice. First visit was when I was 12 years old and I don't think Universal Studio Singapore even existed. Second time in Oct 2018 and my last visit was in Oct 2019.

So this blog would be my trip in Oct 2018 and 2019, combining two trips this time since the places I went were quite similar (I went with different travel partner though). Some people asked me why would I travel to one place over and over again. Well to me, as long as you are able to find new things to enjoy during the trip, why not? Plus, you get to experience different things when you travel with different people (family, friends, solo, couple etc) they all will give you travel experience which definitely will not be the same even if you went to the same places. That is how I enjoy traveling so much.

The trip in 2018 was with my sister. That was her first flight experience wakaka and I want to say thank you to our dear yiyi in Singapore who offered us to stay in her house, showed us around and "belanja" us a lot of nice food which I probably would have a hard time to afford for both me and my sister.

I went again in 2019 with kareshi to celebrate kareshi's birthday hehe~ We got to stay in Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel and it was pretty cool~

For this post, I guess I will not type much, let the pictures speak hehe~

Marina Bay Sands

Grateful for the good weather during the visit

I personally love the Helix Bridge very much. Maybe cuz it's science related which I really appreciate

Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay

THE Durian

Spectra @ Marina Bay Sands

Pretty cool light and music show

Gardens by the Bay

It was already so beautiful from far

The light show here was really cool but it was soooo crowded. Luckily we got ourselves a nice spot

Le sister being so focus on the light show

S.E.A Aquarium

I went to the Singapore aquarium when I was 12. Not sure if this is the same aquarium just with the name changed? The underwater tunnel seems the same though but my memory is not helping much haha.

Hammerhead shark model made from rubbish from the ocean (if I remember correctly)

This huge tank is as magnificent as the ones in Osaka and Okinawa. Just that those two had whale shark in them

Dolphins!

Chinatown

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum

This is the first time I have been to this temple. Do take note no shorts or skirts allowed inside (fortunately I wore a long skirt during my visit if not have to wear sarong).

A giant claw machine which I forgot where it located. Featuring le sis in the pic

Universal Studio Singapore

A pretty funny thing is both times I went to USS was in Oct where they had the Halloween event. So basically there's nothing much changes HAHAHA.

The famous globe. Similarly crowded in Singapore and Japan

Meet and greet with Halloween themed minions

Halloween deco in 2018

Halloween deco in 2018

One of the best rides in USS

When the hot weather is too much for you to take, get into the theatre for aircon and stage show

Halloween themed Sesame street show (it was the same in both times I went haha)

My favourite ride in USS

Be prepared to get wet!

This is really really cooooollllll

Another ride for you to escape from hot weather. It was a chilling and cute ride

USS has their own castle too :O

Got this blood syringe (it was jelly inside) during 2018 Halloween

This ride was surprisingly good. Downside, it was really hot in the waiting line

Jewel Changi Airport

I only went to Jewel in 2019. And I almost missed the boarding time cuz I got lost in this mall :'(
I hope that by traveling more my sense of direction will improved (it never though).

This is really amazing to look at

Pokemon Centre!!!

Wide array of pokemons

The airport hall is quite pretty with the virtual projections on the wall

Found this Snorlax in the airport (????)

Bye Singapore!

Will have another (food) post on Singapore which I probably will be babbling more~ Just enjoy the pictures for this one XD

See ya xoxo
